Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha conducted a high-level meeting to assess the progress of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, recruitment to various positions, and the status of institutionalized outreach programs aimed at bridging information and knowledge gaps regarding government schemes and programs across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting saw the presence of key officials, including Sh Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary; Sh RR Swain, DGP; Sh Vijay Kumar, ADGP Law & Order; Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to Lt Governor; Sh Rajesh Sharma, Chairman JKSSB; Administrative Secretaries; Divisional Commissioners; DIGs; Deputy Commissioner, SPs, and other senior officials from Civil and Police Administration, both in-person and through virtual mode. Expressing the importance of reaching out to farmers, youth, women, and the deprived sections of society, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the need to inform and educate them about government schemes and programs. He urged officials to work towards saturating all schemes to realize Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat. The Lt Governor directed senior officials to conduct regular assessments and closely monitor the saturation levels of flagship schemes. He also instructed Deputy Commissioners, SPs, and other concerned departments to generate awareness about Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and other public outreach programs initiated by the government. During the meeting, the Lt Governor also took stock of the preparations for the upcoming examination for the position of Panchayat Secretary and reviewed the progress of recruitment to various other posts by the J&K Service Selection Board. The thorough review aimed at ensuring efficiency and transparency in the recruitment process.
