The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 phase 4 is ongoing today. Voting in the 96 constituencies located over ten states and Union Territories began at 7:00 in the morning and it will end at 6:00 pm at night. According to the Election Commission of India, a collective of 4,264 nominations were filed for the 96 parliamentary constituencies, resulting in a final tally of 1,717 candidates in contention. Telangana recorded the highest number of nominations at 1,488, with Andhra Pradesh following closely behind with 1,103 nominations across 25 constituencies.
In this round of voting, Andhra Pradesh (25), Telangana (17), Uttar Pradesh (13), Maharashtra (11), Madhya Pradesh (8), West Bengal (8), Bihar (5), Odisha (4), and Jammu and Kashmir (1) are among the states and Union Territories participating. Additionally, voters in Andhra Pradesh will be exercising their right to elect representatives for the 175-member State Assembly. Furthermore, 28 Legislative Assembly seats in Odisha are slated for polling on Monday.
A total of over 17.7 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots in this voting phase. Over 19 lakh polling officials will be deployed to manage the 1.92 lakh polling stations across these States and Union Territories

Tollywood’s top celebrities were active in Hyderabad as the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections began in Telangana, one of the ten regions where polling took place.
Shortly after ‘RRR’ star NTR Jr cast his vote, ‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli was seen at his designated polling booth with his son SS Karthikeya. The duo exercised their voting rights, encouraging citizens to participate actively in the elections.
Rajamouli, speaking to the media after voting, urged everyone to demonstrate their responsibility and care for the country by voting. “Show the country that we are responsible and we do care. Please come out and vote…,” he said.
Karthikeya, echoing his father’s sentiments, called on the public to fulfill their voting obligations. “I request everyone to come and exercise your vote. It is our responsibility and we need to fulfill that…,” he stated.
