India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, exercised his voting right in Bengaluru for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections and encouraged people to participate in the democratic process.
Following his vote, Dravid emphasized the importance of voting, stating, “Everyone must come out and vote. It is an opportunity we get in a democracy.”
Apart from Dravid former India cricketer Anil Kumble shared his photo on ‘X’ after casting his vote in Bengaluru.

Karnataka, contributing 28 seats to the 543-member Parliament, is undergoing polling in two phases, with 14 seats up for voting today including Udupi Chikamagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore Central, Bangalore South, Chikballapur, and Kolar.
In the 2019 elections, Karnataka witnessed the BJP securing 25 out of 28 seats. This time, the BJP is contesting in 25 seats, while its state ally JDS is vying for the remaining three seats, which are part of the second phase – Hassan, Mandya, and Kolar. Voting commenced at 7 am on Friday and will conclude at 6 pm.
The first phase of voting for the seven-phased Lok Sabha election, the world’s largest electoral exercise, took place on April 19 in 102 constituencies across 21 states and UTs, registering a voter turnout of over 62 percent. The third phase of the election will be held on May 7.
