Last night, fearless thieves in Dashmesh Enclave Dakoli of Zirakpur opened the bonnets of three vehicles and stole the batteries. The thieves are so fearless that they are not even afraid of CCTV cameras. Giving this information, Satyavrat Bhosale Advocate, President of Dashmesh Enclave Society, said that thefts and snatchings are happening continuously in Dashmesh Enclave and a delegation of the committee had also met the area police chief regarding this a few days ago.
Satyavrat Bhosale, who had assured that he will ensure regular patrolling in this area, further informed that most of the thefts take place between 2 to 4:00 in the night. Despite raising this issue repeatedly before the administration, no action has been taken. Present on the occasion, senior vice president of the society, Rajesh Pathania said that this has been a common occurrence in the society for the past few days and it has become difficult for women to go to the market with their mobile phones in the evening as there is a constant fear that snatching might take place.
On this occasion, the joint secretary of the committee, Simranjit Kaur, also said that now people are scared to even go out after dinner. On this occasion, the victims of thefts from Dashmesh Enclave were also present. They told how last night the thieves came with a cart and opened the vehicles and took away the batteries.
Committee cashier Raj Dhiman, Rajiv Mehra, Rajiv Raheja, Rajesh Sharma, Manoj Bhatt, Vikas Sharma and general secretary Dharamveer Bhambhu were also present on the spot. All these people have unanimously stressed the need for increased patrolling by the police in the area.
