RRR’s Naatu Naatu created history at Oscars 2023. Amid the Naatu Naatu fever, popular pianist and singer Richard Carpenter took to his Instagram to congratulate the RRR team. Along with a sweet post, the singer also shared a heartwarming video. In the caption of his post, he wrote, “To [MM Keeravaani] and [Chandrabose] Heartfelt congratulations on your win for Best Original Song. Here is a little something from our family to you and yours..”

The RRR team got emotional after watching the video. Reacting to the video, SS Rajamouli wrote, “Sir, through out this Oscar campaign my brother maintained a calm composure. Whether it is before winning or after he didn’t let his. emotions out. But, the moment he saw this, he couldn’t control the tears rolling down his cheeks..most memorable moment for our family..Thank you so much.” On the other hand, MM Keeravaani wrote, “This is something I didn’t expect at all. Tears rolling out of joy. Most wonderful gift from the universe.” Ram Charan’s lovely wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela also reacted to the video. She wrote, “This is so lovely.”

For the unversed, Richard Carpenter is an American pianist, singer, songwriter, record producer, and music arranger, who formed half of the sibling duo the Carpenters alongside his younger sister Karen.
