After engaging in democratic processes, Kiccha Sudeep encouraged the populace to utilize their right to vote.

After casting his vote, he told ANI, “It is a big day. Voting is a hope, not an assurance. The problems are rising in our country. Now, the request should not be for people to come out to vote but for the political leaders for whom we are voting.”

In the fervent campaign leading up to the Karnataka assembly elections in May 2023, Kiccha Sudeep endorsed Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, which faced strong opposition backlash.
Presently, Karnataka, under Congress governance, is conducting the second phase of polls for half of its 28 Lok Sabha seats.

Phase 1 of polling will cover Udupi, Chikamagalur, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore North, Bangalore Central, Bangalore South, Chikballapur, and Kolar constituencies in Karnataka.

Despite the BJP securing victory in 25 out of the 28 seats during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, they have chosen to allocate three seats to their alliance partner, the JDS, on this occasion.
The JDS has put forward candidates to contest in Hassan, Mandya, and Kolar, which are the three constituencies.

Voting for the second phase, covering 88 seats across 13 states and Union Territories (UTs), commenced on Friday at 7 a.m. and will conclude at 6 p.m.

The initial phase of the seven-phased general elections successfully ended on April 19, encompassing 102 constituencies across 21 states and Union Territories (UTs). The Election Commission reported a voter turnout of more than 62% during this phase.

The third phase of elections is scheduled for May 7th.
