Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shaitaan’, which released on March 8 , has made a strong impact at the box office on Day 1.
According to exhibitor Akshaye Rathi , the film will earn nearly Rs 15 crore on the first day
“The film is definitely looking at more than 15 crore on the opening day,” he told ‘The Daily Guardian
He further mentioned the power-packed performances have worked in its favour. “
“Shaitaan is completely powered by the phenomenal performances and great storytelling. It is very theatrical in nature!”
Rathi further stated that Shaitaan is ‘here to stick’ given the current trends.
“With Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyotika and Janki giving incredible performances, it’s not only opened well but it is poised for a great run at the box office. It’s a movie that’s here to stick. Since morning till evening, the momentum has been gaining pace and I think we are looking at a success story already,” he said.
Rathi also took it to his X account and praised the film, calling it the ‘resurgence of a genre that’s long been under-tapped!’
