Priyanka Chopra Shares Throwback Photo From Pageant Days

Priyanka Chopra reminisced about her beauty pageant days with a throwback photo from the Femina Miss India pageant in 2000, contrasting it with a recent mirror selfie. The throwback picture showcases her adorned in a sash and a white sari, while the mirror selfie captures her in a stylish pose wearing a grey jeans jacket with a white crop-top and matching pants.

Sharing the images on Instagram, the ‘Barfi’ actress captioned, “How it started.. how it’s going. (hearts emojis) PS: those 2000s brows though (eyes emoji). My 17 year old self was just trying to pretend like I belonged. In that moment I was desperately trying to keep it together. With the weight of the heavy sari and the newly acquired crown flimsily pinned into my hair with 2 bobby pins, my confidence was slowly slipping as well. But I held it together, just like my sari, with a few safety pins. (smiling emoji).”

Earlier, she shared a throwback picture celebrating the 22nd anniversary of her 2002 Tamil film “Thamizhan,” marking her first acting project post her Miss World win in 2000. This was followed by her Bollywood debut in 2003 with Andaaz, starring alongside Akshay Kumar and Lara Dutta.

On the professional front, Priyanka is preparing for her next Hollywood film ‘Heads of State,’ as indicated by a script glimpse she shared on Instagram, mentioning that Harrison Query wrote it and featuring her watermark. She will star alongside John Cena and Idris Elba in the film.

Additionally, Priyanka lent her voice to Disneynature’s upcoming film Tiger, focusing on exploring the world of tigers. The movie will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar.

In Bollywood, she is set to appear in Farhan Akhtar’s directorial ‘Jee Le Zaraa,’ alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. However, there have been no recent updates on the project since its announcement a couple of years ago.
