NMACC Arts Cafe: Perfect Blend of Art and Cuisine At Isha Ambani’s Fine-Dine

The NMACC Arts Cafe has been unveiled by the Jio World Centre in Mumbai as the latest in arts and culture venues, merging fine dining with artistry. In a gesture of love for the arts by Isha Ambani, this café is placed at Level 3, opposite to the Art House. This cafe offers an immersive experience wherein patrons can savor the delectable food served to them but are also surrounded by an atmosphere of aesthetics in cultural affairs.

Designed by Gauri Khan, the interiors beautifully combine the charm of a cozy cafe with the sophistication of an Art Deco home. Earthy tones dominate the space, complemented by a striking 16-foot bar beneath a dramatic skylight that bathes the cafe in natural light. The al fresco terrace offers a stunning view of the ‘Fountain of Joy,’ making it one of BKC’s most sought-after rooftop spots. For a more private dining experience, a private 12-seater dining room with a live kitchen is available.

 

The Arts Cafe beautifully weaves art into the environment, displaying pieces by world-renowned international and Indian artists, including Damien Hirst, Takashi Murakami, Sameer Kulavoor, and Rana Begum. The artworks chosen to adorn the walls add a sense of creativity and color to the dining experience.

The menu at the cafe, by chefs Joy Bhattacharya and Tarang Joshi, encompasses global cuisines while remaining locally grounded. Dishes like the Asian Chicken Salad, featuring crisp Napa cabbage and citrus soya vinaigrette, and the Salad of Parsnip and Carrots, infused with Gujarati pickle elements, make for a refreshing light meal. The Arts Cafe Naan: Soft naan is paired with Middle Eastern dips like hummus and baba ghanoush, using ‘Everything Bagel Seasoning’ for a delightful mix of flavors.

The Hot Plates section serves signature dishes like the Clay Oven Roast Chicken, which benefits from the tandoor’s smokiness, and Corn Agnolotti, a nod to the Indian street food bhutta. The Roast Atlantic Salmon is another standout, featuring clean flavors with a simple lemon wasabi glaze. The dessert menu impresses with options such as Gajar ka Halwa, Saffron Jalebi, and the lighter Kafir Lime Crème Brûlée with fresh berries and candied ginger.

The beverage program stands out in the cafe. Signature drinks include a Popcorn Negroni made from popcorn-infused gin and served with popcorn for snacking as well as the Fluffy Paloma, made of grapefruit juice and tequila with a foam on top.
