‘It was my dream to perform such Ras’, says Hema Malini

On the occasion of Kartik Purnima, BJP MP and actor Hema Malini participated in Raas Mahotsav and performed a dance performance on ‘Radha Ras Bhari’.

Meanwhile, actor Hema Malini dressed in heavy ethnic attire paired with heavy jewelry and dramatic makeup as Goddess Radha.

At the event, BJP MP Malini also addressed the audience and said, “I performed a Radha Ras Bhari, which I have earlier presented at Vrindavan. But today it’s a different occasion. It was my dream to perform such Ras with the backdrop of moon.”

“While performing this Ras I imagined the scenario when Radha Krishna did this Ras in the historical era,” Malini said.

Moreover, in Dwaparayuga it is said that on Sharad Purnima Lord Krishna with Radha and Gopis created Raas which were named Maharas.

Earlier in 2015 and 2018 Padma Shri awardee presented dance and prepared the entire theme of Ras.

However, actor Hema Malini is known for his work and has given many super hit movies like ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Sholay’, ‘Sapno Ka Saudagar’, ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’, ‘Satte Pe Satta’ and many more.
