Heeramandi Budget And Cast Fees Unveiled: Report

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi garnered acclaim not only for its performances but also for its set design and costumes. Although receiving mixed reviews, the series was commended for its extravagant portrayal of the Heera Mandi world. A recent report on the budget and cast fees of Heeramandi was released by Money Control.

Sanjay made his debut on Netflix’s OTT platform with this ambitious project. Notably, the show’s budget is attributed not only to its costly jewelry, wardrobe, and sets but also to the substantial fees paid to the cast. As per Money Control, Sanjay Leela Bhansali charged approximately ₹60-70 crore for directing the series. Given its extensive production scale, “Heeramandi” has a budget of around ₹200 crore. The report also offers insight into the fees paid to the cast.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakhi was purportedly the highest-paid actor on the show, earning a staggering ₹2 crore for portraying the double role of Rehana and Fareedan.

Manisha Koirala

Manisha charged ₹1 crore for her portrayal of courtesan Mallikajaan in the epic drama series.

Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi received between ₹1-1.5 crore, as reported by the portal, for her depiction of Bibbojaan, Mallikajaan’s elder daughter.

Richa Chadha

Richa portrayed the character of Mallikajaan’s foster daughter Lajwanti, also known as Lajjo. Like Manisha, she charged ₹1 crore for her role in the series.

Sanjeeda Sheikh

Sanjeeda portrayed the character of Rehana and Mallikajaan’s younger sister, Waheeda. She earned ₹40 lakh for her role in the show.

Sharmin Sehgal

Sanjay’s niece Sharmin portrayed Mallikajaan’s younger daughter and received ₹30 lakh for her role in the epic series.

Fardeen Khan

Fardeen, making a comeback as Nawab Wali Bin Zayed-Al Mohammed, charged ₹75 lakh for his role in Heeramandi.

The Daily Guardian has not been able to verify these figures. Heeramandi also features Shekhar Suman, Adhyayan Suman, Taha Shah Badussha, Farida Jalal, and Shruti Sharma in pivotal roles. The series is currently streaming on Netflix.
