Eminem Announces New Album ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace)’

Detroit’s renowned rapper Eminem is gearing up to make a significant impact on the music scene once more with the announcement of his upcoming album, ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace),’ set to be released this summer. The news of this highly anticipated project was revealed just before his unexpected appearance at the NFL Draft, leaving fans excited for what’s to come, according to Variety.

The announcement was accompanied by a captivating trailer that quickly spread across the internet after his surprise appearance at the NFL event. The teaser includes a compelling narrative by a true crime reporter, exploring the demise of Eminem’s alter ego, Slim Shady. “Through his complex and often criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” the narrator explains, setting the stage for an intriguing storyline.

Adding to the suspense, longtime collaborator and confidant 50 Cent makes a cameo appearance, providing a chilling insight, “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.” As the trailer progresses, viewers are taken on a journey to uncover the events leading to the alleged murder of Slim Shady. Eminem himself appears, reflecting, “I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.”

This announcement follows Eminem’s surprise album release in January 2020, titled ‘Music to Be Murdered By,’ which topped the Billboard 200 chart upon its release. The album featured the chart-topping single ‘Godzilla’ featuring the late Juice Wrld.

Slim Shady, Eminem’s notorious alter ego, has been a crucial part of his persona since the late 1990s, first introduced in the ‘Slim Shady EP’ followed by ‘The Slim Shady LP.’ Throughout his career, Eminem has used this alter ego to deliver his most provocative and controversial verses, making him a divisive figure in hip-hop.

With the upcoming release of ‘The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace),’ fans worldwide are eagerly anticipating Eminem’s latest artistic direction and the conclusion of his iconic alter ego’s legacy.
