ASAL and Mard by Abu Sandeep dazzled at Hyundai FDCI India Couture Week, featuring Wamiqa Gabbi as the ASAL bride and Taha Shah Badussha as the MARD groom. Known for their unique approach, Abu Sandeep showcased their art with a Haveli-inspired backdrop and ‘Disco Mujra’ music.
Wamiqa opened in an Ivory Trail Lehenga with Resham embroidery and closed in a Red Lehenga with Gota and Zardozi work. Taha stunned in an olive silk tissue kurta with crystal birds and a brocade pant with Zardozi embroidery.
The collection blended heritage and modern elegance, featuring intricate embroideries, Resham threads, and mirror work. Classics were reinvented with embroidered jackets and sherwanis. Abu Sandeep’s craftsmanship shone through, celebrating festive glamour and cultural insight.
Taha Shah Badussha praised the collaboration, while Wamiqa Gabbi cherished the dreamy experience, hoping to be a real ASAL bride one day. The show celebrated the spirit of love, harmonizing old and new for modern couples.
