Singer Ed Sheeran surprised his fans by singing in Punjabi for the first time during his concert in Mumbai. He was joined on stage by actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, and together they performed Diljit Dosanjh’s song “Lover.”
The crowd cheered as Ed Sheeran sang in Punjabi, alongside Diljit. Both artists later shared posts on Instagram about the concert. Diljit Dosanjh, who will appear in the film “Crew” with Kriti Sanon, posted a video of their performance. He wore a black and golden outfit with a red turban, while Ed Sheeran opted for a black T-shirt and denims, also playing the guitar.
The captioned read, “@teddysphotos, Brother Singing in PANJABI for the First Time BURRAAAA. Chak deya Ge.”
Badshah reacted to the post and wrote, “Bro got Ed Paaji as guitarist.” Varun Dhawan said, “Global domination.” Harshdeep Kaur commented, “World Domination! With pure love and music!! Dil-Jeet liya (Won my heart).”
Ed Sheeran also shared a video of their performance on social media. At the end of the performance, the two artists embraced each other warmly. The caption read, “Got to bring out @diljitdosanjh tonight in Mumbai and sing in Punjabi for the first time. I’ve had such an incredible time in India, more to come !”
Munawar Faruqui commented, “What, not crying! Not crying.” Karan Tacker’s comment said, “This was such an unexpected and amazing surprise.”
Ed’s concert was a stop on his Asia and Europe Tour. The night before the concert, on Friday, Farah Khan hosted a lavish party for Ed at a Mumbai restaurant. Hrithik Roshan and his girlfriend Saba, along with Madhuri Dixit and other guests, attended the party.
