Deepika Padukone, one of Bollywood’s fittest celebrities, recently shared her thoughts on a healthy lifestyle amidst her pregnancy with husband Ranveer Singh. Known for her balanced approach to diet and wellness, Deepika emphasized that indulgence is part of her routine, regardless of her pregnancy.
She posted a picture of snacks and desserts on Instagram, captioned, “Surprised to see this on my feed? Well, I eat! And I eat well! Ask anyone who knows me. So don’t believe anything else you might hear or read. The trick? Balance, consistency, and listening to YOUR body. There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding around the word ‘diet.’ We often believe that ‘diet’ means to starve, to eat less, and to eat things we detest. But ‘diet’ actually refers to the total food and drink consumed by an individual. The word comes from the Greek ‘diaita,’ meaning ‘way of life.’ I’ve always followed a ‘balanced diet’ as a way of life and have never adhered to fad diets. Do I indulge? Of course! But it’s not my way of life. The phrase ‘you are what you eat’ is true.”
Deepika advocates for not starving or depriving oneself but endorses balanced eating. She stresses the importance of balance and consistency in diet and exercise, and above all, listening to one’s body for holistic wellness. Following this mantra, she believes, leads to a good “diaita” or way of life.
Trust Deepika Padukone to provide valuable life advice on achieving balance and consistency in routines while listening to one’s body for overall well-being.
