Bigg Boss OTT Season 3: Anil Kapoor To Replace Salman Khan As Host

It’s official! After much speculation, Jio Cinema has confirmed that Anil Kapoor will be the new host for Bigg Boss OTT, season 3. The OTT platform made the announcement on Thursday, sharing a poster and revealing the show’s streaming date.

Anil Kapoor Replaces Salman Khan

The digital edition of Bigg Boss initially featured Karan Johar as the host for the first season, with Salman Khan taking over for the second. The OTT platform posted on X (formerly Twitter), “Presenting ‘Anil Kapoor’ as the new host for Bigg Boss OTT 3!!! From reigning on the big screen to now ruling the Bigg Boss house, @AnilKapoor is kuch extra khaas! Witness his magic in #BiggBossOTT3 starting 21 June, exclusively on JioCinema Premium.”

Sonam Kapoor recently shared a promotional video of Bigg Boss OTT 3 on her Instagram stories, writing, “They’ve got the most talented, hardworking and handsome man onboard!”

Bigg Boss Fans ‘Cannot Wait’

Fans were excited to see Anil Kapoor as the new host. One X user wrote, “Welcome the great Anil Kapoor,” while another commented, “Cannot wait.” Some fans expressed that they would miss Salman as the host, while others were eager to know the contestants’ names for Bigg Boss OTT 3. However, it seems they will have to wait until June 21 for more details.

Anusha Dandekar Denies Participation In Bigg Boss OTT

VJ and actor Anusha Dandekar refuted rumors of her participation in the reality show on Wednesday. She took to her Instagram stories, stating, “At this point if you Google my name. First it was about me trying to fit someone in a box! Lies! And now this is another lie! I’ve not spoken to anyone and they won’t even call me for this show coz they know my answer! Which is never. Incase there is any further confusion. I should be paid for the PR though! I like that everyone wants to use my name.”

Bigg Boss OTT’s first season premiered in 2021, hosted by Karan Johar on Voot. The second season, hosted by Salman Khan, streamed on Jio Cinema in 2023. Divya Agarwal and Elvish Yadav were the winners of the first two seasons. The third season will be available on Jio Cinema starting June 21.
