‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, hit the theatres on April 11 amid fanfare. It received a fantastic response on the opening day.. According to film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi a serious number of tickets were pre-booked.
“Around 85,000 tickets were pre-booked until yesterday (April 10) for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which is a very good number for the opening day,” he stated.
Rathi further predicted that the Akshay Kumar starrer has the potential to make at least 14 crore on the day of its opening day. “The film has received a solid word-of-mouth based on trailer. It can easily make around 14 crore on Day 1,” he told ‘The Daily Guardian’. He added, “Maidaan on the other hand is expected to make 8 crore on its opening day.”
Akshay Kumar’s upcoming projects include the official remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ and his Marathi debut ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat’. He will also be seen in Welcome 3 and the sequel of ‘Hera Pheri 2′ On the other hand Tiger Shroff is working on ‘Singham Again’. Interestingly, Akshay is also part of the Ajay Devgn-led actioner
Coming back to ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, it is an action entertainer featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff as soldiers on a mission to recover a stolen AI weapon from a masked foe. The cast also includes Prithviraj, Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F and others.
The film released in theatres on April 11.
