Anil Kapoor continues his streak with another exciting project after ‘Animal’ and ‘Fighter,’ as he gears up to headline the action-packed drama ‘Subedaar.’ The official announcement came during Prime Video’s event in Mumbai, where Kapoor’s intense look in a shirt-and-trouser ensemble, holding a rifle, was unveiled in the poster.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, known for helming T-Series’ comedy-drama ‘Tumhari Sulu’ (2017) and ‘Jalsa,’ both featuring Vidya Balan, ‘Subedaar’ sees Kapoor take on the role of Arjun Singh, grappling with the challenges of civilian life, including a strained relationship with his daughter and societal issues. The film is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Suresh Triveni, and Anil Kapoor.
“In an adrenaline – fueled action drama, Subedaar Arjun Singh grapples with civilian life, navigating a strained relationship with his daughter, and societal dysfunction. The man who once fought for the nation must now fight enemies within to protect his home and family,” read the official synopsis of the project.
Meanwhile, Kapoor is enjoying the success of Siddharth Anand’s aerial action thriller ‘Fighter,’ where he stars alongside Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi. In ‘Fighter,’ Kapoor portrays Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, fighting alongside Roshan’s Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania and Padukone’s Squadron Leader Minal Rathore. The film, marking the first collaboration between Roshan and Padukone, hit theaters on January 25.
