Anupam Kher is announced to be a part of the Telegu film ‘Tigwe Nagewara Rao’, featuring Ravi Teja in the lead role

“Tiger Nageswara Rao” is a historical drama set in the 1970s that is based on true events involving the residents of Stuartpuram and a notorious and valiant thief from South India, played by Ravi Teja..

In the past, kher presided over both India’s National School of Drama and Central Board of Film Certification. For his contributions to film and the arts, the Indian government awarded him the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016.

In October 2017, Kher was appointed as chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). He left his position as chairman of the FTII a year later, citing employment obligations for the American TV programme New Amsterdam.
