“Munjya” Hits ₹50 Crore Milestone At Indian Box Office

“Munjya,” the horror-comedy directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and released on June 7, has crossed ₹50 crore in earnings, as reported by Sacnilk.com. The film’s strong performance in its first week saw it amass ₹35.3 crore, followed by ₹3.5 crore on day 8 and ₹6.5 crore on day 9. Day 10 proved to be the peak with ₹8.50 crore nett, bringing its total to ₹53.8 crore.

Starring Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, Suhas Joshi, and Sathyaraj, “Munjya” is produced by Maddock Films and draws inspiration from Marathi folklore set in Pune and the Konkan region. It centers on the mythical creature Munjya and its impact on Bittu (Abhay Verma). Critics have praised Abhay Verma’s portrayal for its mix of fear and bravery, along with Mona Singh’s role as a protective mother.
