In the heart of our nation, where decisions are made,
Stood the new Parliament, in sunlight and shade.
An attack it endured, the day could have potentially been one of great sorrow,
But from the ashes, we rise for a better tomorrow.
Lessons must be learned, from that fateful day,
To prevent a repeat, to keep the chaos at bay.
Vigilance and unity, must be our new song,
Together we stand, united and strong.

Security must be tightened, like a vigilant hawk,
Ensuring peace, around the clock.
Every corner, every nook,
Is under surveillance, every cranny and brook.

Respect for all, hatred for none,
This is the lesson, that must be won.
For in diversity, our strength lies,
And in unity, a nation flies.

So let’s remember, as we move ahead,
To choose love over hate, unity instead.
For the lessons learned, are not in vain,
Never to let such an attack happens again.
