Karnataka Government Makes It Compulsory For Schools, Colleges To Read Preamble; Government Officials To Display Portrait Of Preamble

The Karnataka Government announced and has decided for making it mandatary for schools, colleges and Universities in the state, whether government aided or private, to read daily the Preamble of the Constitution of India.
The Karnataka Government also stated that the officers of the State Government have been instructed to stick a copy of the preamble of the Constitution in every office of the departments.
Therefore, while speaking to the reporters Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa stated with regards to keeping in mind the freedom struggle, the idea behind writing of the Constitution, the people, especially the youth at schools, colleges, and universities — whether it is government, aided or private- should compulsorily read the preamble of the constitution of India.
It has also been tweeted by him about the decision of the Cabinet of making the reading of the preamble of the constitution and pasting of portraits in government offices
