The Allahabad High Court has dismissed veteran film actor and former MP Jaya Prada’s petition seeking to quash non-bailable warrant issued against her by a Rampur trial court for alleged violation of the election code of conduct and making inflammatory statements.
During the hearing, Jaya Prada’s counsel informed the court that they wished to submit a new application with additional facts and documents, requesting permission from the court to withdraw the petition. The court granted permission and allowed the petition to be withdrawn.
