On October 31, Lana Condor tied the knot with her boyfriend of nine years, Anthony De La Torre, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Malibu, California. The special day marked a new chapter for the couple, with Condor calling it a “moment we will cherish forever.”
In an interview with Vogue on November 1, Condor shared her emotions at the altar, saying, “Being up there in front of all their friends and family making the ultimate life vow, is a moment we will cherish forever. It was such an emotional and joyous occasion.” Among the close friends and family in attendance were her To All The Boys co-stars Sarayu Blue, Janel Parrish, and bridesmaid Madeliene Arthur, as reported by E! Online.
However, Condor’s happiness was tinged with sadness as she missed her mother, who had passed away earlier in the year. The Malibu venue, Serra Retreat, held deep significance for Lana as it reminded her of a high school visit with her mother. “She would not have wanted us to not celebrate our love,” Condor shared, adding, “Being there was such a core memory with my mom, and I felt like we could feel her presence on our wedding night.”
Lana Condor’s wedding gown held special meaning, as it was the dress she picked with her mother shortly after getting engaged in January 2022. Reflecting on the experience, she said, “My mom and I absolutely fell in love with my wedding gown the moment I tried it on and I am so grateful I got to share that experience with her. That was the only time she was able to see me in my dress, and I will hold that memory in my heart forever.”
The wedding festivities continued the next day with a farewell lunch hosted by Condor and De La Torre at their Los Angeles home. The newlyweds then celebrated their commitment by getting matching tattoos of their wedding date on their wrists. Condor shared her happiness, saying, “The entire weekend could not have gone better. We are so filled with love and gratitude for each other and also for all of our incredible guests who came from far and wide to join us in the celebrations.”
Condor and De La Torre first met in 2015 at an Emmys party, where De La Torre introduced himself. Reflecting on that day, Condor said, “We both knew that day would forever change the course of our lives. We just didn’t know exactly how…but boy, did our lives change for the better!”
The couple’s journey from that chance meeting to a heartfelt Malibu wedding is a testament to their enduring love and the cherished memories they hold dear.
