The four-time NBA championship winner LeBron James is eyeing a potential nine-figure contract which has left the fans stunned. The 39-year-old is not done yet and seems to be getting better with each day as he looks to stretch his career into the 40s. The star Los Angeles Lakers player is currently looking for a new deal worth over $100M.

James previously signed a contract with LA back in 2022. Some fans doubt whether the 39-year-old still has what it takes to compete in the ring. His current contract is worth $99M which expires in August this year.

According to the new rule in CBA, a player over the age of 38 is not eligible to sign an extension longer than two years. This is probably the reason why James signed a two-year extension in 2022. LA may have to make some trades to free up cap space to extend James’ contract.
