The Government of Kuwait will provide $15,000 respectively to the families of the victim as compensation.
This compensation will be given to those families, who lost their loved ones to horrific fire, which killed 50 people. Including 46 Indians in the southern Ahmadi governorate.
As per government sources, the payments will first be processed and then sent to the respective victim’s embassy.
Further, the Arab Time newspaper, also revealed, that it is the responsibility of the embassy for making the processing quicker and ensure that this assistance reaches the victim’s family.
Meanwhile, both the Indian government and Kerala government have respectively given the compensation of Rs. 2 lakh and Rs.5 Lakh to victim’s family.
What Happened In Kuwait Fire Case?
In the city of Mangaf, Kuwait, the massive fire triggered in the seven-storey building on July 12. Which housed 196 migrant workers, predominantly Indians.
According to Kuwaiti establishment, the electrical short circuit present in guard’s room on Ground floor was responsible for the fire.
And so far, they have arrested one Kuwaiti citizen and many foreigners on the grounds of manslaughter and negligence.
