The 4th Edition of the Late Lala Amarnath Aggarwal Men Seniors Cricket Tournament for the NSS Trophy was inaugurated today in the presence of Kulbhushan Goyal, Mayor of Panchkula, along with notable personalities like Kanwar Virdi, Women Seniors Selector of UTCA, Chandigarh, Varinder Chopra, Former Haryana Ranji Trophy Player, Surender Goyal, President, Amarjit Kumar, Secretary, and Inderjit Singh, Organizing Secretary of Haryana Sports Welfare Association (regd.). Ten teams from North India will compete in this prestigious Men Seniors age group Cricket Tournament.
The teams are divided into two pools, with each team playing a minimum of four league matches. The top two teams from each pool will qualify for the semifinal stage.
Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal addressed the audience, expressing appreciation for the efforts of the Haryana Sports Welfare Association (regd.) in promoting cricket at the grassroots level.
He congratulated the association for providing a platform for budding cricketers, both girls and boys, from rural and backward areas as well as players from the tricity to showcase their talent on significant grounds.
Goyal extended his congratulations and best wishes to the organizers, acknowledging their continuous efforts over the last 15 years in organizing such significant tournaments in various teenage categories for both men and women.
