The Kremlin stated on Wednesday that it is too early to comment extensively on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposed “victory plan,” but urged Kyiv to reconsider its approach, calling its current policies futile.

Zelenskyy announced earlier that the conflict with Russia could potentially be resolved by next year if his plan is implemented immediately. However, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov suggested that the plan is likely aligned with US interests, accusing Washington of using Ukraine to fight against Russia “until the last Ukrainian.”

The US, which has provided Ukraine with billions of dollars in military aid, maintains that Kyiv has the authority to decide its own course of action regarding the conflict with Russia.
