KL Rahul, an Indian batter, thanked the National Cricket Academy (NCA) staff for their care before returning to the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2023. KL Rahul has passed every fitness test and is qualified to compete in the Asia Cup’s Super Four round. After passing all the fitness tests, Rahul thanked the BCCI and NCA on X (formerly Twitter).

“Reflecting on my journey in the last few months, which has been filled with challenges and lessons. The road has been humbling. A big shoutout to Nitin sir, Yogesh sir, Rajini sir, Dhananjay Bhai, Shalini and everyone at the NCA for your efforts and commitment towards getting me back on the ground Special mention to the team at Wellington Hospital in London and Dr. Rahul Patel for a smooth op. Lastly to the BCCI for the constant support and belief,” he wrote in his X handle.

Rahul will not play in the opening game of the 2023 Asia Cup against Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. KL Rahul is making good progress from the niggle he picked up after recovering from his injury, according to Team India coach Rahul Dravid, who also revealed that Rahul will remain under the National Cricket Academy (NCA)’ssupervisionuntil September 4. While he (KL Rahul) had a good week with us and is making great progress on the route we want to take, he won’t be available for the first portion of the Kandy leg of the trip. While we are on the road, the NCA will take care of him. On September 4 (the fourth), we will reevaluate him.
