Kia Motors India revealed last week the first official design sketch of the productionready Sonet, and its world premiere will happen on 7 August. The concept version of Kia Sonet was unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020. The Sonet will be Kia Motors’ second “Made in India” vehicle after the Seltos. With its arrival, Kia Sonet is expected to give competition to the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport. The Sonet’s price (ex-showroom) is expected to be between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 13 lakh. With the official image out, it is obvious that Sonet is quite similar in design to the concept version unveiled at the Auto Expo 2020. However, Kia Motors India has not revealed the details of the Sonet’s interiors yet. But the SUV is likely to come with a 10.25- inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, Bose premium audio system, among others.
