Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the issue of inflation saying that he gives speeches for over two and half hours whereas he can’t speak two and half words for inflation.
He also urged the government to stop snatching bread from the people’s plage and the BJP must put a stop on inflation.
Slamming the Prime Minister over the issue of inflation, Kharge, who is also the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha in a post on X, formerly Twitter in Hindi said, “Mr Modi, you give speeches for two and a half hours. On the issue of inflation …can’t speak even two and a half words!”
Highlighting the people’s condition due to inflation, Khaehe said that people earn their living through hard work and sweat, while he bakes false political breads.
“Stop snatching bread from people’s plate… BJP should put a stop to inflation,” Kharge said, adding a graphic on how the prices of several essential commodities have gone up in last 10 years of BJP’s rule.
The Congress has been critical of the government over the issue of inflation and on several occasions slammed te government over the soaring prices of several essential commodities.
