The president of the All-India Congress Committee (AICC), Mallikarjun Kharge, gave all five election state incharges and observers instructions to monitor the vote-counting process on Friday, ahead of the announcement of the results of the five state assembly elections.
Senior Congress leader and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar is also scheduled to arrive in Hyderabad on Saturday, one day prior to the Telangana assembly polls vote counting. Congressman Randeep Surjewala is in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, at the moment.
The BJP is expected to win 140–162 seats and a 47% vote share in Madhya Pradesh, according to exit poll predictions. With a 41% vote share, it predicted that Congress would gain 60–90 seats. It is anticipated that others will receive 0-3 seats and 12% of the vote.
In Chhattisgarh, three exit polls showed Congress winning handily, while another indicated the party was in the winning range. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel led the Congress during the election.
Exit polls in Telangana, meanwhile, on Thursday indicated that the Congress was likely to form government there and that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), which has been in power for ten years in the youngest state in India, would not be able to secure a majority.
With variations in their forecasts of the victor in the crucial Hindi heartland state of Rajasthan, which has a nearly three-decade tradition of not repeating an incumbent government, the exit polls on Thursday confirmed the impression that the state was witnessing a tough contest. The Election Commission declared on Friday that the Mizoram Assembly election vote count has been rescheduled for December 4.
