Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, AVSM, GOC-in-C Western Command, accompanied by Lt Gen Rahul R Singh, VSM, GOC Kharga Corps, witnessed Exercise KHARGA SHAKTI at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges.

KHARGA SHAKTI, an integrated firepower exercise, was conducted by Kharga Corps to practice and validate the synchronized delivery of firepower of the Strike Corps, complete with integration with surveillance resources and air power assets of the Indian Air Force.

The exercise demonstrated seamless, effective, and persuasive integrated firing in a simulated operational environment for an offensive in obstacle-ridden terrain. This involved the coordinated delivery of firepower by Artillery units, Armour, Mechanized Infantry, and Infantry units of Kharga Corps in synchronization with Fighter Bomber Missions. Upon the culmination of the exercise, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, AVSM, GOC-in-C Western Command, interacted with all ranks.

He congratulated them on their professionalism in conducting the exercise and urged them to strive for excellence, living up to the glorious history of the Corps and its emblem, the “Kharga of Maa Kali” – the ultimate weapon symbolizing the destruction of the enemy on the battlefield.
