Kerala Man Arrested for Role in International Human Trafficking Racket for Organ Harvesting” The Ernakulam rural police in Kerala have apprehended a man linked to an international human trafficking network involved in organ harvesting.
The suspect, Sabith Nasar, 30, from Valapad in Thrissur, was detained at Kochi International Airport on Saturday upon his return from Iran via Kuwait. Authorities discovered incriminating evidence on his phone.
Officials from the Bureau of Immigration detained Nasar on suspicion of being part of a network trafficking vulnerable individuals for organ harvesting. He was subsequently arrested under IPC Section 370 (human trafficking) and Section 19 (commercial dealings with human organs) of the Transplantation of Human Organs Act.
