According to an earlier statement, the death toll in the multiple blasts at the Zamra International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kalamassery, near Kochi rose to three today.

Libina, a 12-year-old girl from Malayattoor, passed away at the Kalamassery Government Medical College Hospital in the early hours of this morning from her wounds. Dr. Ganesh Mohan, the hospital’s medical superintendent, reports that the girl, who was receiving ventilator care and had 95% burns, passed away at 12:40 in the morning. Following Sunday’s explosions, two women who were taking part in the Jehovah’s Witnesses prayer convention perished. “We have seventeen patients in various hospitals; twelve are in the intensive care unit, four are seriously ill, and three are on ventilators. After visiting the injured in the hospital, George told reporters, “We are providing every possible support.”

“Those who are critically ill have burns above 50-60 per cent. Four are critically ill, rest are almost stable. All of them have burns, but no other injuries are found. They have burns. Let the police conduct the inquiry, they will answer all the questions,” George said.
