Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the Maharashtra Government took a historical decision to give Godavari water to Telangana but Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao damaged the Kaleshwaram project with his corruption and warned that it may collapse any time.

“Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao met me in 2015 and asked for Godavari water. As we are neighbouring states, I had taken a historic decision to give water to the farmers of Telangana. That is how the water came to Medigadda. He has diverted money in the construction of Kaleshwaram and that is why its pillars sunk. It may collapse any time in future,” said Fadnavis addressing a public meeting at Palakurthy here on Teusday, the last day of campaign.

“You have witnessed the 10-year rule of BRS with corruption. It has changed the name of the party from TRS to BRS. It should be instead Family Rahtra Samithi (FRS). Telangana government is for only one family. There is a need to bring in a change in Telangana and let the BJP come to power for fast development,” said the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been changing the face of India and let the Telangana also be part of that.

“Though there is no BJP in the government, Prime Minister has given Rs. 1.6 lakh crore for the purchase of paddy and cotton, Rs. 9,000 crore to the farmers of Telangana under Kisan Samman Yojana, Rs. 6,000 crore for Ramagundam fertiliser factory, Rs 23,000 crore for Jal Jeevan Mission and Rs. 1.09 lakh crore for development of roads. The development that might have been taken place has not took place here. Bring BJP to power and a BC will be made CM. Four per cent Muslim reservation will be cancelled and VAT on petrol and diesel will be reduced,” said Fadnavis urging people to vote for BJP for double engine growth.
