In a significant development, the Kathua Police have made a major breakthrough in the Kathua July 08 terror attack case by dismantling a key Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) support network operating in the Jammu region.

The police have arrested two pivotal supporters of the JeM terrorists, identified as Liyaqat and Raj, from the remote Malhar area. These individuals played a crucial role in aiding a group of 6-8 JeM terrorists who infiltrated India from Pakistan.

Liyaqat and Raj were instrumental in establishing communication channels between the infiltrated terrorists and their handlers across the border. They provided internet access to the terrorists on multiple occasions, significantly facilitating their operational capabilities and communication strategies.

The arrest of Liyaqat and Raj marks a significant step forward in the ongoing investigation and counter-terrorism efforts in the region. The authorities are continuing their efforts to identify and apprehend any additional members of the support network to prevent further terror activities.
