Just over a week ago, it was reported that Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, will not be seen in public for the rest of 2024. A new report in a New York-based magazine now suggests that the 42-year-old might never return “in the role that people saw her in before.”

According to an insider cited by US Weekly, Kate’s team is currently reassessing her future responsibilities following her cancer treatment.

Kate has been out of the public eye for several months due to her treatment. Despite this, she remains actively involved with her three children. “Kate’s feeling strong enough to be very involved with the kids. She’s been an active parent,” the insider revealed.

Another source informed the publication that while her recovery is progressing well, her return to royal duties remains uncertain. The Princess is avoiding contact with many people to prevent illness, as she is vulnerable during her recovery.

Earlier reports suggested she might not resume work until the fall or even next year, but the palace stated she will return to her duties once her doctors permit. “We have been clear that Kate needs the space and the privacy to recover right now,” the Palace stated, emphasizing that she will return to work when she gets the green light from her medical team.

Last month, The Daily Beast, citing a source, reported that Kate would not appear in public for the remainder of 2024. The report indicated that the Princess of Wales is surrounded by her family as she undergoes cancer treatment. “I am told that Kate’s diary for this year is empty. There is nothing planned. She may not appear in public for the rest of the year,” the source added.

In a March 22 video statement, Kate announced her cancer diagnosis, stating that her condition was initially believed to be non-cancerous. However, after a successful abdominal surgery in January, subsequent tests revealed she had cancer.
