In a significant display of national pride and unity this Independence Day, prominent figures from Haryana are slated to hoist the National Flag in various parts of the State. Most notably, Kartikeya Sharma, MP, is set to raise the tricolour in Ambala Cantt. This decision demonstrates Sharma’s dedication towards the country and it’s pride, cementing his place as a significant political influencer in the region.
The flag-hoisting ceremonies, commencing at 9 am, will feature Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya in Rohtak and Chief Minister Manohar Lal in Fatehabad. The Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala, along with other esteemed members of the Cabinet, will also participate in similar ceremonies across the state.
Additionally, in a move symbolising compassion and hope, the Haryana Government has announced the release of 43 prisoners on August 15, 2023. This decision, coinciding with the 75th Independence Day, signifies a gesture of goodwill. Eligible prisoners, including those who have served significant portions of their sentences and those unable to pay fines, will be granted this special remission.
