Rapper-producer Rich the Kid has reported that Kanye West is considering retirement from music, although the specifics of this decision and its finality remain unclear.

As per a now-deleted screenshot of a text exchange shared by Rich the Kid, West allegedly stated, “I am retiring from professional music.” The musician hinted that his uncertainty about future musical endeavors might be a contributing factor behind this choice, as per reports from people.com.

In response, Rich the Kid questioned the decision, emphasizing the impact West’s music has had on culture and suggesting that while a break might be needed, retirement should not be the path forward.

Shortly after sharing the screenshot, Rich the Kid announced plans to release new music featuring West on his upcoming album, *Life’s a Gamble*, scheduled for release on Friday, July 19. The album’s tracklist reveals collaborations with West on tracks like ‘Plain Jane’, along with previously released singles such as ‘Gimme a Second 2’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Peso Pluma.

West’s announcement coincides with the anticipated release of his and Ty Dolla $ign’s sequel project, ‘Vultures 2’, although details on its release date remain uncertain. Ty Dolla $ign recently indicated plans to bring their *Vultures* listening experience to Korea in August, adding to the speculation surrounding their future musical endeavors.
