US rapper Kanye West has reportedly arrived in Moscow, according to Russian media, citing well-known producer Yana Rudkovskaya. Amid widespread sanctions and travel restrictions due to Russia’s actions in Ukraine, Western artists have largely avoided performing in the country. However, the 47-year-old had previously created controversy for expressing his admiration for Russian Vladimir Putin. West also stirred controversy with his political statements in the United States and was recently accused of praising Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
Producer Yana Rudkovskaya confirmed the news, emphasizing West’s stay in the city center. “Kanye West is already in Moscow! This is great news; he is staying in the heart of the capital,” Rudkovskaya announced on social media, as quoted by the state TASS news agency.
This confirmation follows last month’s rumours that West would perform a concert in Moscow. However, Luzhniki Stadium, where he was rumoured to perform, informed state media that they have no information about any possible concerts by the famous rapper.
