BLACKPINK has an exciting surprise for their fans as the group recently announced plans for a world tour.

The K-pop girl band, consisting of Lisa, Rose, Jisoo, and Jennie, is set to embark on a stadium tour this summer, with scheduled performances across Asia, the United States, and Europe, as reported by People.

YG Entertainment’s founder, Yang Hyun-suk, had previously hinted at their return in July 2024, stating, “There will be a highly anticipated comeback from BLACKPINK,” adding, “And it will also be the year BLACKPINK starts their world tour,” while mentioning that they are working to ensure various YG artists can connect with their fans.

BLACKPINK first gained recognition in 2016 with their debut single “Boombayah,” which topped Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart. Some of their other chart-topping hits include “DDU-DU DDU-DU” and “Kill This Love.”

They also made history as the first Korean girl group to perform at Coachella, delivering a memorable set at the festival in 2019, People reported.

Over the past year, the group members have focused on individual projects. Jennie made her acting debut in HBO’s The Idol in 2023 while continuing to release solo and collaborative music. Rose released her solo album Rosie in December 2024, which featured her hit collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT.”

The tour will kick off with two performances in South Korea in early July before moving to the U.S. for multiple stadium concerts. BLACKPINK will wrap up their tour in Europe in August, with a major highlight being their performance at London’s Wembley Stadium, marking a historic milestone as the first K-pop girl group to headline the venue.

According to People, tickets will be available for purchase starting Thursday, February 27, on LiveNation.com.
