On the occasion of the 76th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, a program featuring devotional songs and patriotic tunes was organized on Tuesday at Jawahar Kala Kendra Jaipur. Under the auspices of the centre’s first residency, artists aged 10 to 16 paid a musical tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
The young artists not only spread the message of communal harmony through soulful renditions of devotional songs but also highlighted Bapu’s contribution to the freedom struggle through their musical performances.
The program commenced with a Guru Vandana (salutation to the teacher). Artists like Antara Choudhary, Parul Umarwal, Soumya Kushwaha, and Vandana Rao presented ‘Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.’ Vandana Rao and Purvi Choudhary, through the rendition of ‘Vaishnav Jan to Tene Kahiye Jo Peer Parayi Jaane’.
