In a significant breakthrough, Jammu Kashmir police have successfully unearthed a major terror network operating in the region, leading to the arrest of three terror associates affiliated with Lashkar-e-Toiba.

According to RR Swain, DGP Jammu Kashmir, the operation unfolded following investigations into a drone dropping incident in Jammu region. The arrested individuals have been identified as Gulshan Naaz, a female terror associate, along with Imtiyaz Ahmed and Abid Shah of Rajouri district. They were found to be actively involved in various terror-related activities, including receiving drone-delivered arms and ammunition.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the apprehended suspects were tasked with distributing the received consignments to their final destinations, utilizing other associates for the purpose.

The mastermind behind the operation, identified as Mohd Qasim of Lashkar-e-Toiba, currently resides in Pakistan. A bounty of Rs 10 lac has been announced for any information leading to his apprehension. Qasim is believed to be responsible for orchestrating multiple attacks, including the recent blast on a passenger vehicle along the Katra-Jammu road and the Narwal blast.

This significant breakthrough by the Jammu Kashmir police comes ahead of crucial elections in the region, ensuring heightened security measures and fostering an environment conducive to safe and fair elections.
