A twin blast occurred in the Narwal area of Jammu in which as many as six people were injured after which NIA along with dog squad and bomb squad of India Army reached the blast spot.
The first blast happened in a tata sumo and the second blast in a Chevrolet Cruze vehicle.
“Twin blasts occurred in Narwal area of Jammu, 6 people injured,” ADGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh said.
“The whole area has been cordoned off and the injured evacuated to hospital,” another police official said.
However, further details are awaited.
Earlier on 14 January in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast, an assistant sub-inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 153 Battalion, Muhd Aslam was injured.
Meanwhile, at the Pegdapalli-Sunil post, Naxals planted the IED. At 8:45 am on Saturday, the incident occurred near Pegdapalli village under the Tarrem police station. The incident occurred when CRPF’s 153rd battalion was out on patrol.
Moreover, at a field hospital in Basaguda, the ASI was immediately rushed for treatment and his condition is stable now.
However, to lift the injured ASI all the arrangements have been made for a helicopter to a higher center referral for better treatment.
Earlier on 1 January in Srinagar there was an attempt to throw a grenade at a CRPF vehicle in a crowded area of MK Chowk, Srinagar. When a grenade was thrown at the CRPF it missed the target and caused a minor splinter injury to one local boy in Srinagar.
