The demand for reservation in government jobs from the central government has continued for the 9th day in the Bharatpur-Dholpur Jat Reservation Movement. Former MP Pandit Ramkishan also joined this movement on Thursday. During the agitation, Pandit Ramkishan met with the leaders and activists of the Jat Reservation Movement Struggle Committee. During the discussion, former MP Pandit Ramkishan said that this movement is the result of the government’s mistake. He also said, “Now that there is a BJP government in both the state and the centre, the government should provide reservation to the Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur.”
For the past 9 days, the Jat community in the Jaychauli village of the Ucchain Upkhand has been protesting over the demand for reservation in government jobs for the OBC category. Negotiations have also been held between representatives of the Jat community and the government, but so far no solution has been found. In this situation, it is being said that this agitation is heating up.
Arriving at the agitation, former MP and political expert Pandit Ramkishan said, “Both the central and state governments are BJP-led, and they should provide reservation to the Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur. The credit for this will go to the BJP government…When the Jats of other parts of Rajasthan have been given reservation in the centre, then what is the reason for keeping the Jats of Bharatpur and Dholpur separate?”
