Japan, known for its technological advancements, is often associated with its iconic bullet trains. However, a recent video of a limited express train running from Tokyo has taken the internet by storm. The video, shared by content creator @gunsnrosegirl3 on X, highlights the luxurious “Saphir Odoriko” train, which offers an array of premium amenities.
The video showcases the train’s private cabins, luxurious seats, a restaurant cart, and spacious bathrooms. According to the woman in the video, “It is a scenic train that goes from Tokyo through the Izu Peninsula and features stunning views of the coast.” One of the standout features is the rotating chairs that can be turned toward the large windows, allowing passengers to take in the pristine coastal views. “Seats have a special feature allowing them to turn and face the large windows that are designed for sightseeing,” she explained.
The video also reveals that a premium cabin on this train, traveling from Tokyo to Ito, costs $54 (approximately Rs 5,000) per person. The woman highlighted the availability of a restaurant cart onboard, offering a selection of food, drinks, and limited-edition cookies, and emphasized, “But the best part is the variety of seats available.”
The train also offers private cabins accommodating up to six people. The woman noted that “Even the most basic seat is similar to a short-haul business class seat.” The video concludes with a glimpse of the train’s spacious and immaculate bathroom, complete with a large mirror.
