Israel-Hamas war: IDF kills Hamas member responsible for missile manufacturing

Israel-Hamas War Updates: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that they successfully targeted and killed a high-ranking figure within Hamas’s weapons manufacturing division in an overnight airstrike. The individual, identified as Muhsin Abu Zina, held a significant role in the production of weapons for Hamas, specializing in “strategic weapons and rockets,” according to a report by the Times of Israel.

The IDF referred to Abu Zina as the head of Hamas’s “industries and weaponry” division. In an official statement shared on the IDF’s platforms, it was stated, “IDF fighters continue to operate deep in the Gaza Strip, eliminating terrorists and directing aircraft to attack terrorist infrastructure.”

During the airstrike, an IDF fighter jet, with guidance from the Shin Bet and Amman intelligence agencies, targeted the Abu Zina warehouse, which served as the headquarters for the Industries and Weapons Department of Hamas. This operation aimed to disrupt Hamas’s weapons manufacturing capabilities.

Additionally, the IDF reported that during the same night, their fighters identified a terrorist squad planning to launch anti-tank missiles at their forces. The IDF directed an aircraft to strike the squad, resulting in the elimination of multiple terrorists.

Furthermore, the IDF directed an aircraft to target another terrorist squad responsible for launching rockets. This airstrike also led to the elimination of several terrorists.

The Israeli Air Force also conducted an attack on Hezbollah targets, including the Amlah warehouse. This response came after firing from Lebanese territory.

Sgt First Class (res.) Yaacov Ozeri, a member of the 401st Armored Brigade, was tragically killed during a confrontation with Hamas terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip. He is the 31st soldier to lose their life since the commencement of Israel’s counter-offensive in response to Hamas’s attack on October 7.

Additionally, three soldiers from different IDF battalions suffered severe injuries during clashes in northern Gaza on Tuesday. The IDF continues to remain active in addressing security threats and maintaining stability in the region.
