In a major success for security forces in the Rajouri district of the Jammu region, a trained Pakistani terrorist associated with the Jaish-E-Mohammed terror outfit has been successfully eliminated.
Just within 24 hours of a previous encounter in Kulgam, officials reported on Friday that security forces had neutralized another terrorist in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. The operation unfolded during a morning Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Guller-Behrote area of Budhal tehsil. A joint team comprising the army, police, and CRPF responded to intelligence inputs indicating suspicious movement in the region.
Inspector General of Police Jammu zone, Anand Kumar Jain, provided details, stating, “Based on specific information, a joint operation was launched by Rajouri Police, Army, SF, and CRPF in the general area of Behrote top, PS Budhal this morning.” He explained further, “While moving towards the target house, terrorists initiated firing on the operation parties from inside. The area is currently under cordon, with an ongoing search operation to ensure comprehensive security measures. This latest success underscores the continued dedication of security forces to addressing threats promptly and maintaining the safety and peace of the region.
