Jalandhar Session Court acquitted Raja Kandola, the alleged mastermind of Punjab’s 200 crore international drug racket. The police couldn’t produce evidence based on allegations in the related case in court.

Jalandhar police had arrested Kandola in June 2012. Senior advocate Mandip Sachdeva stated that Raja Kandola was apprehended with 14 kilograms of heroin.
Inspector Inderjit Singh had made the arrest. Kandola was facing a case involving a 3000 crore ICE (methamphetamine) seizure. However, the police couldn’t establish the seizure of ICE in court.

The police had also seized 14 kilograms of heroin from a house near Nawanshahr. The police claimed this heroin was seized from Kandola’s house. It was clarified during the investigation that the house didn’t belong to Kandola.
The court found that the police didn’t have any evidence against Kandola, leading to his acquittal.
